My husband and I have had our scuba diving license since Jun 1982 and we never used it as the water in Canada was too cold and dark. We did not travel much back then.

My cousin and her husband are both divers and they asked us to take the trip to Cozumel with them and another couple from Denver, so we jumped at the opportunity.

But 1st we needed to take a refresher course as it had been so long, I booked the course with Scuba 2000 for the weekend and it was a great experience to try it out again.

We did a West Jet Vacation All-Inclusive package and had the time of our life. We stayed at the Iberostar Cozumel.  The service was above all great and enjoyed it, we would have returned this year but Covid-19 cancelled that.

We dove with a company Dressel Divers.  They are the best company out there.  As this was my 1st time in salt water, they were very accommodating to us.

In Cozumel they have a dive sanctuary there and it is an under water park.  It is the most beautiful place I have seen. We did 2 dives a day for 4 days and we were with a group of 6 and the Dive master, who were all amazing.  We had a total of three dive masters throughout the week.

We arrived at the dive shop at 7:30 am in the morning, got our gear and headed for the dive boat. We did 2 dives, then back to the dock.  We were able to get a lot of incredible underwater pictures.  Memories that will last forever.

We got cleaned up and had lunch, then lazed at the pool for the rest of the day till it was time to get ready for dinner. We had a choice of where to eat and ate at a different place most nights. The food was always amazing. We got to listen to lots of entertainment at night, but found we got tired quick from being in the fresh air and water all day.

On day 5 we took a taxi to town to do some shopping and have dinner with friends as they had to fly out a day earlier than us. We had an amazing time walking around town checking out the small shops and vendors on the street.

For lunch, we ended up at this amazing place called Coconuts.  A great place to eat and have drinks and fun with friends.

With it being December, the town was ready for Christmas and it was all lit up and beautiful to see. We got to see a couple of cruise ships that had come to port that day. Our taxi guy was great too.  He was there a waiting for us whenever we were ready to return to the resort.  We would definitely stay at Iberostar Resort in Cozumel again.

Here are a few photos hope you enjoy them.
